Esteemed panelists which include a diverse lineup of entrepreneurs and business owners will dive into the panel’s theme of Building Generational Wealth Through Black Entrepreneurship. The panel discussion will include each panelist’s journey to entrepreneurship and the impact entrepreneurship has on the community, local economies, and familial structures.
6:15PM CST: Workshop - Business Marketing (Digital Marketing Content Ideas)
This workshop will be led by Heaven Charniece, with years of experience working with clients ranging from entrepreneurs to nonprofits and small businesses. Quality content increases followers, website visitors, social media traffic, and engagement. Learn how to create quality content for your brand.

HBCUs are a focal point of black history past, present, and future. Our panel of HBCU students, alumni, and parents will discuss the panel’s theme of the Importance of HBCUs in the Black Community. The panel will discuss the unique historical backgrounds, traditions, and culture of HBCUs.

Learn how to overcome burnout with Dr. Nicole McGuire. Dr. Nicole McGuire is a practicing pediatrician. She has encountered many women who have experienced burnout while being personally affected. She is an active community servant participating in several organizations and local boards. Dr. Nicole’s mission is to have a generational impact personally and in her community.

This workshop will be facilitated by Roxanne Iniece, the founder of Growth Strategy Solutions. This is part 2 of yesterday’s ‘How To Prepare Your Business To Receive Funding’ workshop. Now that you know what you need to do to prepare to receive funding, learn about funding opportunities available for black-owned businesses in the U.S.

Jade Parker-Dinkins is a sickle cell advocate, registered nurse, creative, and graduate of Kentucky State University. Her lifelong experiences with chronic pain and illness led to a career in healthcare that has spanned over a decade. Today, Jade serves as Founder and CEO of ROJOrganics, a luxury skin and body care company. She is on a path to bringing awareness, healing, and holistic health for herself and others.

Learn about the negative impact of code-switching and how to lighten the burden with CaTyra Polland. CaTyra Polland is the founder and CEO of Love for Words (an MWBE editing and copywriting company). She also founded National Black Authors Day (May 4). CaTyra is an award-winning entrepreneur, freelance editor, creator, poet, and international speaker. She has been recognized for her ambition, community service, and literary expertise.

Driven by her desire to create authentic, safe, and captive spaces for rich storytelling of historically relevant events, Heaven embarked on the development of the HeavieTalk media platforms.
Ken Granderson
Ken Granderson is an MIT graduate and the co-founder/chief technology officer of Blackfacts.com. Ken has been creating diversity in technology by creating software, online communities, and architecting websites since 1995.

Dale Dowdie is a graduate of Boston University and the CEO and co-founder of BlackFacts.com. Dale has years of experience and a background in working in the information technology and services industry.
